Is the Elozo Ozone cabinet effective against bacteria?

Yes, SeiLab Oy conducted bacteria tests on hospital textiles using Elozo’s ozone cabinets. The test results indicated that during a 60 minute treatment time the following bacteria were removed from the tested hospital items: Listeria, S.aureus, Yeast, Salmonella, E-coli and Cereus. During a 2-hour treatment mold was shown to be removed from the tested items. 

What is the purpose of the Elozo D800 cabinet?

The basic purpose of the Elozo cabinet is to improve the hygiene and comfort of clothes and textiles in various environments. The D800 can remove odors and microscopic impurities with the use of activated oxygen (O3).

Can the Elozo cabinet remove stains?

No, visual impurities, such as stains, must be removed with conventional cleaning methods. Elozo recommends finishing the cleaning process with the O3 cabinet to ensure that any odors or microscopic impurities have been removed.

Besides clothing, what other types of items can be used in the Elozo cabinet?

Other items that can be used in the cabinet are other textiles, headwear, wigs, footwear, portable gear, sport equipment and toys.

Are there any types of materials that are not safe to use in the Elozo cabinet?

Elozo recommends not using the following materials in the Elozo cabinet, due to the reactions these materials will have with the use of Active Oxygen:

  • Metals: Carbon Steels, Copper (and Alloys), Uncoated Iron and Sintered Stainless Steel.
  • Plastics: ABS, Nylon Polyamids, PE and PP.
  • Rubbers: Natural Rubber, BUNA-N and SBR.


What types of materials are safe to use in the Elozo D800 cabinet?

The Elozo D800 cabinet uses active oxygen to reduce odors and disinfect the items placed in the cabinet. Active oxygen tolerance may vary with each material and the following are safe to use:

  • Metals: Stainless steel, Chrome, Nickel, Gold, Platinum, Silver, Aluminum (and Alloys) and Galvanised Steel.
  • Plastics: PTFE (Teflon), PVDF, ECTFE (Halar), Vynyl Ester, PVC, CPE, PVC-C, FEP and TFE.
  • Rubbers: CSM Hypalon, Viton FPM, Silicone, Neoprene CR, EPDM and Polyuerethane.
  • Other: Glass and Ceramics.
